The Challenge:
Merial, now part of Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health, a global leader in animal health, sought a dynamic and engaging way to attract veterinarians to their booth at industry tradeshows and effectively educate them about their comprehensive range of pet care products. Traditional methods of product presentation often struggle to capture attention and create a memorable learning experience. Merial aimed to move beyond static displays and deliver information in a fun and interactive manner that would resonate with their target audience.
The Solution:
Immersicom conceived and developed “Pet Invaders,” a highly engaging multi-player tradeshow game designed to educate veterinarians about Merial’s portfolio of pet health solutions in an entertaining format. Drawing inspiration from classic arcade games like Space Invaders, “Pet Invaders” presented attendees with a fast-paced, quick-twitch challenge: eradicate virtual fleas, ticks, and other common parasites threatening pets.
This branded game seamlessly integrated multiple Merial products as the “weapons” players used to combat the invading parasites. As participants played, they were subtly introduced to the different solutions Merial offered for specific pest control needs. To enhance the experience and create a lively atmosphere, the booth featured a dynamic game show host who guided the gameplay and provided additional product information. A prominent scoreboard displayed real-time rankings, fostering friendly competition among attendees and driving engagement. With ten interactive gaming stations, “Pet Invaders” could accommodate a significant number of participants simultaneously, ensuring high traffic and sustained interest in the Merial booth at veterinarian conferences.
